Soumba, the young female aged about 10 months who’s arrived 10 days ago, isn’t feeling too well. She has parasites. It isn’t unusual for chimpanzees to have parasites but her young age, the dietary changes combined with stress has made her sick to her stomach. We’ve started a treatment. Let’s hope it’ll improve her condition. At such a young age, Soumba and Kanda are fragile and we are very careful to provide them with the best care possible.
